Austin's municipal utility offers some of the most concrete rebate figures in Texas for solar, heat pump water heaters and AC/heat pump replacement — Texas has no statewide program covering this.

Residential Solar Rebate: $2,500. Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate: $1,000. AC/heat pump replacement rebate: averaging around $800. Whole-home "Home Energy Savings" rebate: averaging around $3,000, plus 0% APR financing (offer confirmed through 30 September 2026). Free weatherization for income-qualified households. An EV charger rebate program exists but its current dollar amount was not confirmable at time of writing — check directly.
Texas has no state income tax and no statewide rebate, grant or loan program for residential solar, battery, heat pump or EV charger installs (the DOE-funded federal Home Energy Rebates money allocated to Texas, administered by the state Comptroller's SECO office, had not launched as of mid-2026). Austin Energy, the city-owned municipal utility, runs its own program with published figures, one of the more concrete municipal programs found in Texas.
